Enhanced Checkout Experience
Shopify has introduced significant updates to its checkout process, focusing on speed and reliability. These optimisations deliver faster loading times and a smoother shopping experience, which is especially valuable during the busy holiday period.
As part of this they also have released Checkout Blocks to all plans. This allows you to add custom text on the Thank you and Order Status page.

Shop Pay Improvements
Shop Pay, the platform’s flagship payment solution, has received significant updates to enhance the merchant and customer experience. The improvements include advanced fraud detection algorithms that better protect transactions and reduce false positives.
Additionally, the platform now offers seamless integration with popular local payment methods across the UK and Europe, such as direct debit systems and regional digital wallets. These updates make it easier for merchants to serve their international customers while maintaining strong security standards.
Flow: New actions for working with metaobjects
Shopify Flow has expanded its metaobject workflow capabilities. Building on the recently added Metaobject entry created trigger, Flow now includes two new actions: Get metaobject entries and Get metaobject entry.
Analytics and Reporting Updates
Shopify is now offering more comprehensive analytics tools, providing merchants with:

Starting February 18, 2025, Klaviyo is rolling out flexible email and SMS plans that automatically adjust for seasonal spikes, alongside profile-based auto-upgrades and downgrades to keep businesses on the right plan.
