May’s been particularly busy for Shopify store owners – the Summer ’25 Edition just dropped, and it’s packed with over 150 updates. We’re talking smarter AI tools, better theme customisation, and fresh features to help Shopify store owners scale with less friction.
A few standouts: the new Horizon theme (clean, fast, and flexible), improved market tools for international selling, and copy-paste functionality in the theme editor – finally.
Plenty to unpack here, and even more to explore, so let’s get into it.
Shopify Release Summer Editions
Shopify has rolled out its full Summer ’25 Edition, packed with over 150 updates aimed at “unlocking creativity” and helping merchants spend less time on tech headaches and more time building the brand they actually want.

Highlights include AI-generated theme blocks, a brand-new AI Store Builder, smarter real-time support from Sidekick, and a knowledge base app that creates AI-friendly store facts.
There’s also support for third-party apps to issue refunds as Shopify Credit, an improved theme customiser, Apple Pay now available as a non-Express option, and tap to pay on the Shopify mobile app – plus loads more under the hood.
Updates to Markets
The latest version of Shopify Markets brings a big boost to flexibility. You can now create submarkets from existing regional ones – handy if you want to tailor your broader Europe market specifically for, say, French customers.

Plus merchants on Shopify Plus can now set up multiple B2B markets, each with its own catalogue, currency, and storefront tweaks. There’s also a new graph view showing all your buyer customisations at a glance, along with a “view as” tool in the product section that lets you see what your buyers will actually experience.
Improved Admin Navigation
Navigating the Shopify admin just got a lot smoother. With new dynamic back buttons and breadcrumb trails, it’s now easier to keep track of where you are – and where you’ve been. These little touches help you move through tasks without losing your place. So if you’re deep into editing a product variant – say, a blue T-shirt – you’ll now see a clear path like Products > T-shirt > Blue, making it dead simple to jump back up the chain. It’s a small change that adds up to a more efficient workflow.
Copy and paste sections and blocks in the theme editor
A long-requested feature is finally here: you can now copy and paste sections and blocks in the theme editor. Whether you’re building from scratch or tweaking an existing design, this makes it far easier to keep your store looking consistent. Just select what you need, hit copy, and drop it wherever it belongs – even on a different page. It’s a real time-saver, especially when you’re trying to keep things sharp across your storefront.
Cool Feature
Marchon – Macro Calculator

As part of our continued work with Marchon, we worked with their in house fitness team to build out a macro calculator to help you choose the correct supplements, the data is pulled from a file and is also sent to Klaviyo as properties on the customer to allow them to build flows, segments and further data out reach. We’re really happy with how this came together and all aspects can be managed in Shopify by the Marchon Team.
New Site Launch
Giraffe Group

This month we launched the new Giraffe Group website – a project focused on bringing together several of their businesses under one roof. Working closely with their in-house team, we merged J D Forktrucks, Sell Your Car 2 Giraffe, and Giraffe Cars into a single, streamlined site.
It was a technical one – each product type needed its own set of filters, custom data points, and tailored landing pages. Now, the Giraffe team has full control of the site, with training in place so they can manage everything going forward.
Next up: we’re excited to be working with them on a forklift configurator set to launch in the coming months.
That’s it for this month’s roundup. We’ll be keeping a close eye on what’s next and, as always, we’re here to help you make the most of every new opportunity.
If you’re thinking about launching something new – or want to take your existing Shopify store to the next level – drop us a message through the website. We’d love to chat.
