November’s been a whirlwind in the world of online commerce, especially with the frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

In this roundup, we’re diving into the latest and greatest on Shopify—from new features that are changing the game to a seriously cool app we’ve been tinkering with. Plus, we’ll showcase a brand new website we’ve launched this month.

Let’s get into the new features from Shopify first:

Switch Between One-Page & Three-Page Checkouts

Whether you’re on the Basic, Shopify, or Advanced plan, you’ve now got more control in the theme editor. Choose between the streamlined one-page checkout or the detailed three-page option. Whichever you pick, rest assured that your customisations and checkout settings will transfer smoothly between layouts.

Enhanced Gift Card Personalisation

Gift cards just got more personal! Your customers can now add a recipient’s name and a heartfelt message, and even schedule the delivery of the gift card for that perfect moment. This update brings a touch of personalisation and convenience to your gifting options.

Flexible Discount Editing on Orders

Shopify have now upgraded the order editing process. Now, you can not only add but also remove or update discounts on existing line items. This flexibility ensures that you can adjust discounts as needed, something previously limited to new items only.

Filter Reports by Markets

Dive deeper into your analytics with our new market-based filters. On the Analytics page, you can now segment your Shopify reports by specific markets, applying these filters to sales, behaviour, and customer data for more targeted insights.

Shopify Plus: Enhanced Extensibility

Exclusively for Plus merchants: you can now tailor the checkout, ‘Thank You’, and Order Status pages to your brand’s unique style and needs using the checkout editor. This level of customisation opens up new possibilities for your store’s user experience.

Visual Filters in Search & Discovery

Enhance your customers’ browsing experience with visual filters, now available in the Search & Discovery app. Add colour and image swatches to collection and search result filters, providing customers with a quick visual reference of colours, patterns, or materials.

New website launch

One of our standout achievements this month was the launch of a completely revamped Walk in Wardrobe website, perfectly timed with the grand opening of their new store.

Over the past six months, we’ve closely collaborated with their team, meticulously gathering and incorporating feedback to craft a website that’s not just visually stunning in its simplicity but also exceptionally user-friendly. The most significant improvement? A vastly enhanced mobile experience that seamlessly adapts to on-the-go browsing. This project wasn’t just about a makeover; it was a strategic overhaul aimed at elevating the user experience across all platforms.

App of the Month

Instagram is more than just a social platform; it’s a visual storytelling tool for brands. And guess what? Nearly every site we build has a client with an Instagram account. To forge a stronger connection between your store and social presence, embedding your Instagram feed is key. That’s where InstaFeed comes in.

This app is the epitome of simplicity and effectiveness. It’s not only free, but it also offers the flexibility to customise the feed to suit each client’s unique style.

Why not give InstaFeed a whirl and see the difference it can make?
