The Challenge

Paint Spray Tools are an online retailer of specialist paint spray equipment and accessories. Despite being open for over 5 years, the website had never generated a large amount of revenue. They approached Glaze to provide digital marketing support to increase their online presence and sales.


We developed a strategy that would attract visitors to the website using PPC. Once on the website we would use incentives to capture data and finally we would use email marketing to convert these visitors into customers and retain existing customers.

What We Did

First we carried out in-depth keyword research to align the website categories with popular search terms used by the public in order to increase traffic to the site. We also created and implemented an in-depth PPC strategy with our keyword findings to increase the visibility of the brand in the search results for both Google Shopping and Search.

We then set up data capture pop-ups on the website to collect visitor emails in exchange for a welcome discount, in order to increase the business’s database. We set up a series of automated emails to engage these users, and sent appropriate campaign emails to promote relevant offers and useful tips for how to use the products in order to inspire confidence in DIY newbies or provide some added value to trade professionals.

Thanks to the combination of organic search traffic, targeted PPC ads and an engaged email list with regular, relevant campaigns, the website has seen a 116% YOY increase in users, and in turn has gone from providing little revenue to seeing an increase of 194% YOY. Their email subscribers continue to increase and add to the growth of the company.
